April – June 2024 Newsletter is Live!

A lot of changes are taking place in our life. Learn where we’re moving and the new ministry opportunity we are stepping into. Also, whether you call them microchurches, house churches, or simple churches, there is a movement of fresh expressions of Church that cannot be ignored. Leaders of churches large or small need to be able to discuss what characterized the Church of the New Testament and how they can align their Church with those traits. See the four helpful questions leaders can use to help facilitate that dialogue.

A Favorite Weaver Christmas Memory

In December 2022, I shared with the Crosspoint Family in Santa Clarita this story of one our family’s favorite Christmas memories. Afterwards, Pastor Doug Andersen said it was one of the best Christmas stories he’d had ever heard. Enjoy this sharing of a wonderful Christmas memory by Tracy Weaver.

Tracy and Debra Ministries is a wholly donor funded ministry. We are able to invest in the lives of others because of your kindness and generosity. We invite you to donate a tax-deductible Christmas gift of any size as an expression of your support and encouragement. Thank you and Merry Christmas. – Tracy and Debra

Table Talk – 2024

Volume 54 of Luther’s Works is a book entitled “Table Talk.” Table Talk is a collection of Martin Luther’s sayings around the dinner table at Luther’s home, but also at other times and locations, such as walks in the garden or notes taken while on journeys. It is based on notes taken by various students of Luther between 1531 and 1546. The discussions ranged widely, from the intensely personal, through the political and pastoral, to theology and the Bible.

In the spirit of Luther’s Table Talk, we invite you to join us at our “Zoom Table” the Second and Fourth Wednesday of each month beginning in January 2024.  Our desire is to provide a casual safe place to ask questions, probe issues, think deeply, talk about Jesus, and laugh a lot.

Watch for more information regarding Table Talk with Tracy and Debra beginning January 2024.

Cool Chicks Love Jesus Reunion

For over a decade, beginning in the early 2000’s, Deb Weaver hosted a monthly gathering of High School girls called CCLJ (Cool Chicks Love Jesus). At the time, the local High School was “Open Campus” and the girls were able to cross the street and meet in the upper loft of “Time Square Coffee House” to enjoy bagels and to talk about Jesus. The gathering later moved on campus as “a club”, then moved to an “out building” in the parking lot of the adjacent Community College, and finally found a home in a Community College classroom. Over the years hundreds of High School girls attended CCLJ and were encouraged and strengthened in their relationship with Jesus.

Now, for the first time, Debra is hosting a Cool Chicks Reunion Open House on October 7, 2023 at Common Ground Coffee, 516 Hawthorne Street, in Alexandria MN, from 9am to Noon. Cools Chicks Alumni and friends are invited to drop in, enjoy some treats, greet old friends, and be encouraged by a devotional from Deb Weaver (10:30a). Spread the word! We hope to see you there.
